Per Sjögren graduated in 1991 from Ingesund Music University after studies with Björn Liljequist. 1990-1993 he also studied for professor Einar Nielsen in Århus and Gothenburg.

Per is since 1991 freelancing mostly within contemporary music. He is initiator of ensembles Gageego! and Spectra and he has done solo tours in South Africa and Germany, among others in the Festival of contemporary music in Darmstadt.

In the last years time have also free improvisation become part of Pers work. He is a member of the ensemble Fiskesyskonen where musicians from different genres play together in free form.
